Evidence From the Scene
If you’re involved in a car, truck, or motorcycle accident be sure to take photos and/or video at the scene of the accident. Most of the time, visual evidence of the accident scene is very limited in trial cases, but have huge impact on trial.
Juries are made up of everyday people from all walks of life. They get thrown into the trial process without much background on how it all works. So anything visual that can be used to help them figure out the process and the case has a major impact on the case. It helps the jury understand what we tell them as lawyers.
If the case is a car accident, pictures and video of the damage to all the cars involved is one of the most impactful pieces of evidence you can place in front of jury. Pictures of the scene of the accident, with all the cars in place where the accident occurred, is also hugely important.
Pictures of any injuries you or your loved one may have experienced is also greatly important. Those injuries do not have to be cuts, bruises, broken limbs but also difficulty doing normal household chores, working in the yard, or difficulty holding a conversation.
Not only are pictures and video of the accident and its’ affect important at trial, it can be the difference between working out the case or actually have to go to court over the matter.
